Boston – Lightning Man Media LLC will release its new mobile game “Bar Crasher” for iOS and Android this winter to give players the experience of sneaking into bars right from their fingertips.
President and game developer, Chris McGlade, said the game will be relatable for college students who grapple with the underage issue of sneaking into bars.
“I made the game based on my own experiences,” explained McGlade. “It’s entertaining, fun, and easy to play.”
In the game, players assume the role of a college student who must collect beer bottles, sneak past bouncers, and get into the bar before time runs out. Players will traverse locations ranging from urban to suburban to beachfront with different layouts and designs for each. Skilled players will get the chance to customize their characters and unlock new ones through the game’s virtual currency system and “crashing” more bars. Each level increases in difficulty with the more challenging bars offering little room for error.
“Just like in real life,” McGlade said.
The graphics merge two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork with vibrant backgrounds and a stylized user interface. Mobile lends itself to simplicity both in terms of graphics and controls, McGlade said.
“I wanted to make a game that was fun and visually interesting, but also very simple,” said McGlade.
